Okay, here's basically what i'm thinking of:

You know how we have weapon sets? You press F1 - F4 to switch to a main-hand / off-hand combo?

What if we had something like that, but for builds? We could assign 8 skills and attribute point distribution like that. That way, right when you get into a town, you can immediately switch builds and head out again.

Anyone else think that this might be a good idea?

There's a few standard builds I typically run and this sounds great for swapping them out quickly. I like the idea.

I have a great idea. How about we change the controls a bit w/ the quick change builds. Instead of using the F5-F8 for different bags in your inventory, you could actually put 4 different builds in there. You have to admit. Those 4 buttons are wasted. Its easier jsut to press F9 and see all the bags at once.
